Overview of HUNAGI related tasks accomplished and to be solved

After overviewing the recent achievements, decisions have been made related to the actions scheduled in the first Quarter of 2008 including domestic (including Presidential Board Meeting, HUNAGI Forum, EKMK-HUNAGI joint actions, CASCADOSS Meeting, GIS Open Conference) and international events (e.g. Ostrava Conference, EUROGI ExCom, GSDI-10 and EUROGI General Meeting). Some urgent actions related to the administration, financing and application for NCA grant were also discussed. The meeting was hosted by Zsolt Barkóczi, President of HUNAGI at the premises of VÁTI today.

Re-use of Public Information - ePSIplus Workshop in Budapest


Invited by the Hungarian Association of Content Industry MATISZ, President of HUNAGI Mr. Zsolt Barkóczi expressed HUNAGI's readiness to take part in the professional preparation of the new legislation related to the re-use of public sector information in Hungary as far as the geographical informations are concerned.
The Workshops' most interesting achievements will be summarized asap.

GSDI Board Telecon attended by HUNAGI

The telecon was well attended and went through on a well prepared agenda under the chairmanship pf Executive Director Prof. Harlan Onsrud. The telecon infrastructure and inviting call was kindly arranged by USGS FGDC telecom facilities. Europe was well represented by GSDI President Jarmo Ratia, President-elect Prof. Bas Kok, EUROGI Secretary General Joao Geirinhas and EUROGI member Roger Longhorn as well as by the Hungarian member of the Board. Besides the Americans Alan R. Stevens, Prof. Harlan Onsrud, Doug Nebert and Edwin Hunt also PCGIAP was represented by Abbas Rajabifard from Melbourne. The Hungarian HUNAGI community was informed on the topics discussed in Hungarian some minutes after the telecon (http://hunagi8.blogspot.com/ )

PPP4SDI in the eGovernment context


The workshop of EUROGI and the Unit SDI of the DG JRC will be hosted by the La Sapienza University in Rome.
Hungary will be well represented by the call of EUROGI and HUNAGI. The Institute of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Snsing (FÖMI), The IHLET Public benefit Company and DigiTerra Ltd contributed by presentation and also a paper was intruduced from the HUNAGI's SG perspectives.
