The Directorate of the Water Management and Environmental Protection applied for HUNAGI membership

The application for HUNAGI membership has been received on 27th December 2007. The homepage of the Directorate (actually the Hungarian water management agency) is www.vizugy.hu
As liasion Ms. Györgyi Gödér has been appointed. She delivered a presentation on the European Water Framework Directive related govrnmental tasks at the HUNAGI Forum hosted by the Methodological Centre for eGovernment, Budapest on October 11, 2007.

HUNAGI discussed the INSPIRE-related planned amendments of existing law.

Mention should be made, the website of the UNSDI Newsletter operated by our sister organisation in The Netherlands NCO reached visitors from over 100 countries last week. HUNAGI blog in English attracted visitors from 84 countries in a single month (in November 2007).

Overview of HUNAGI related tasks accomplished and to be solved

After overviewing the recent achievements, decisions have been made related to the actions scheduled in the first Quarter of 2008 including domestic (including Presidential Board Meeting, HUNAGI Forum, EKMK-HUNAGI joint actions, CASCADOSS Meeting, GIS Open Conference) and international events (e.g. Ostrava Conference, EUROGI ExCom, GSDI-10 and EUROGI General Meeting). Some urgent actions related to the administration, financing and application for NCA grant were also discussed. The meeting was hosted by Zsolt Barkóczi, President of HUNAGI at the premises of VÁTI today.
