50 Year Anniversary Meeting of the Hungarian Society for Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing

Ceremonial Meeting hosted by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences
on December 12, 2006

The Meeting was chaired by the founding Secretary General Frigyes Raum. The keynote lecture delivered by Academician István Klinghammer addressed the evolution of the history of mapping from the Hungarian point of view.

The HSSMRS was welcomed by Fülöp Benedek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as Gyula Szabó, Commander of the Mapping Service of the Hungarian Defense Forces and Dr. József Ferencz of the Transylvanian Society of Engineers
